Can I hook my iPod up to my home stereo?

Yes. In fact, if you are only using your iPod on the go, then you're not taking full advantage of your purchase.

You'll need to have an open auxiliary (or "AUX") input on your home stereo. Once you verify you have this, you will need a special cable that connects the iPod into that AUX input. There are two varieties of these. One kind connects to the headphones jack on your iPod, the other connects to the dock connector on the bottom of the iPod. The latter will provide better sound quality, so that's what we recommend. These are somewhat hard to find, so go ahead and get this one from Nyko.

If you have no idea is your stereo has an AUX input or you just don't feel like going through the trouble of finding out, we also recommend the Bose SoundDock, which makes playing your iPod in your home as easy as it gets.
