Can I remove U3 from my USB pen drive?
Yes, you can easily remove U3 from your pen drive.
With the USB drive connected to your computer, open the U3 Launchpad software (usually in your System Tray in the lower-right corner of your screen). Select "U3 Launchpad Settings" and click on the Uninstall tab. From there just follow the instructions on screen.
If you cannot find the U3 Launchpad software or otherwise cannot get the above to work, there are stand-alone uninstallers available. For Sandisk USB drives, use this uninstaller. For all other USB drives, download this one.
Note that Sandisk USB drives offer the advantages of allowing you to remove the U3 software without erasing your other files on the drive and also allowing you to re-install the U3 software should you choose to do so later. This, along with the fact that they are of the highest quality, is why Sandisk USB pen drives are a DGpick.
