Can I use Microsoft Office on a Mac?
Yes. Microsoft Office has been available for Macs and the OS X operating system for a number of years now. In fact, the latest version, Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac, was released not that long ago, and even contains features not available in the Windows version.
Microsoft Office for Mac contains all the counterparts of the Windows version, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. One note, however. Inexplicably, the application that is known in the Windows version as "Outlook" of Office is called "Entourage" on the Mac version. However, it does the same things. Namely, email, calendar, to-do lists, etc. Second, some versions of Microsoft Office for Windows included a database application named Microsoft Access. There is no counterpart to this on the Mac side, but we'd bet you never used this on the Windows side much, so no worri
All documents created in Office for Mac are compatible with Office for Windows, so you can't go wrong.
