Many people I know plan and purchase travel online. What travel sites should I use?

The good news is that there are hundreds of travel sites out there. The bad news is that there is hundreds of travel sites out there. Choosing one can be difficult, lucky for you, Degeeked has a few recommendations to make things easier:

  • Kayak.com: Kayak does not actually sell tickets, however they compile the best prices on flights, hotels, and car rentals and allow you to search hundreds of sites at a time. They have many innovative search tools to help you find exactly the deal you're looking for quickly.
  • Farecaster.com: A great tool for bargain hunters. Farecaster will tell you whether you should buy a flight now, or wait a day or two when prices may be better.
  • Priceline.com:  A great choice for flight and hotel reservations, Priceline.com lets you name and negotiate your own prices. A good tool if your plans are flexible enough and you want to invest the time for the negotiating process.
