Top 10 External Hard Drives over 500GB
You've got yourself one of those fancy HD video cameras, or maybe you made the leap to a DSLR camera for your photos, and now the hard drive that came with your computer doesn't look so big anymore. We know the feeling. With even digital point-and-shoot cameras boasting huge megapixel counts (even though megapixels are not as important as you think), the files you're forced to work with are huge and gobble up a lot of hard drive space. That's where we come in.
Lots of space, easy to use, and inexpensive (all are under $150). Here are our Top 10 External Hard Drives over 500GB. All of these support USB (most support USB 2 for faster file transfers), which means they will connect easily to any computer made in the last five years or more, so you don't have to worry about incompatibility.

Western Digital. No?
But I love mine.
A basic 1TB only costs $120. They come in all shapes and sizes and colors. Both Mac and PC friendly too...and the prices continue to drop
