Top 10 Tech Gifts for Cooks - 2008
Gourmet cooking is not just for the professional chefs anymore. These days, the average Jane (or Joe) can crank out some pretty amazing meals. That means two things, a better holiday meal this year and a great area of holiday gifts to focus on.
Another great thing about gifts for cooks is the huge price range. There are some great gifts for as little as $5 and some really great stuff up in the hundreds. A couple tips for getting the right gift:
- Make an educated choice. Search the drawers, or call someone who can, before you buy something the person already has.
- What kind of cook are they? Griller, baker, etc.? That will help to narrow down your options
- Style is important. Make sure you get something that matches their kitchen.
If you still can't make a choice, no worries, the DeGeeked Crew has done the leg work for you.

I can vouch #7. It is, hands down, the best espresso maker for the money and it makes a decent cup of regular coffee as well. I travel with it!
Get a high-quality turkish hand grinder to go with it and its like having a portable snobby coffee shop in your backpack.

Wow, thanks for the input! Straight from the horse’s mouth. Always glad to get direct info from people that own the products we recommend. We can’t buy everything ourselves!
You have a recommendation for someone interested in one of the turkish hand grinders you mention?
