What is a podcast?
Great question. A podcast is simply an audio file that you download from the internet and listen to. Typically, a podcast is a news-style talk show dedicated to a certain subject (technology, flowers, books, music, etc.) and is hosted by one or more people - just like a radio show, but it really can be anything the podcaster wants it to be!
You can “subscribe” to podcasts and automatically receive new episodes as they come available. The easiest place to find and subscribe to podcasts to listen to is via iTunes. You can listen to these straight on your computer from within iTunes, but to listen to these on the go, however, you will need one of Apple's portable audio players: the iPod Classic, iPod Nano, Shuffle, or iPod Touch.
