What is the difference between HD and LCD TV?

Good question. Sometimes it seems like shopping for a new television is a long battle with a bunch of same-sounding acronyms.

In this case, HD and LCD are two totally different things. HD is a type of television signal, and LCD is a type of television.

There are two types of television signals: SD (Standard-definition) and HD (High-definition). LCD televisions are flat displays that receive and show SD or HD television signals. LCD televisions are a great and affordable way to watch an HD signal.
