What’s the best place to legally download music on the internet?
This is one of the most popular questons we hear. There are so many illegal sites out there to buy music, it can be hard to find the legal ones.
iTunes is the most popular site on the web to download music, television shows, and podcasts. Apple has made the integration of your iPod and iTunes seamless, which makes the whole process easier. Most songs are in the $0.99 range and albums usually start at $9.99.
eMusic is another good option. It works on a subscription-basis, allowing you pay a flat monthly fee and download all the music you want. Selection is not as good as iTunes or Amazon.com, however.
That said, Amazon MP3 is the DeGeeked Crew's for downloading music legally. All downloads on Amazon are DRM-free, which essentailly means that once you purchase a song, there are no restrictions on how many times it can be burned to disk or how many devices (e.g. iPods, computers) you may load it on. On top of that, Amazon.com MP3 sells most of it's music for slightly cheaper than iTunes, averaging $0.89 per song and $8.99 per album.
If you like your music legal and free (and who doesn't?), the web site Mashable.com recently published a list of 30+ sites for free and legal music.

This is a wonderful archive..Songs that are downloaded with DRM have some kind of restriction on them. They can not be transferred to Audio CD and they usually can’t be transferred to very many personal players.square peg web
